Ted Mann



Ted Mann is a freelance journalist based in New Haven, Connecticut.

He worked for more than seven years as a political correspondent and enterprise reporter at The Day of New London, an award-winning daily newspaper in southeastern Connecticut. In 2010, his coverage of a visit to Cuba by the American ship Amistad won a first-place award for continuing coverage from the New England Associated Press News Executives Association. The same year, his coverage of a governor’s use of a pollster on the public payroll won a third-place prize for investigative reporting, and he was the lead writer on a prize-winning spot news account of a hostage standoff. In 2008, NEAPNEA awarded him first-place for continuing coverage of the presidential primary contests in Iowa, New Hampshire and Connecticut.

Mann graduated from New York University in 2002 with a B.A. in English and American literature.
